Nettleton basketball coach Jermaine Thomas has been arrested for an inappropriate relationship with a student according to the Jonesboro Police Department.

According to the Jonesboro Police Department: "An early morning arrest was made in an ongoing investigation by the JPD Internet Crimes Against Children Division.On April 21, 2022, the school resource officer for Nettleton High School was notified about an inappropriate relationship between a student and an employee of the school.

Upon further investigation by JPD ICAC, they discovered evidence involving the teacher and a student Detectives and members of the JPD SWAT team arrested Jermaine Thomas for Sexual Assault - 1st Degree and three other charges.

He will be housed at the Craighead County Detention Center awaiting his probable cause hearing."

Thomas is listed as the junior high boys head basketball coach on the Nettleton school website.
