Camden
Harmony Grove vs Rison - September 24th
>
face=Arial>Camden Harmony Grove
Last Week: 21-13 victory over Star City
Key Players: QB Dustin Vaughn, RB
Ticorian Berry, FB Jacob Wright, WR Jesse Castleberry, OL
Matt Green, OL Chris Kelley, OL James Sherman, OL Jonathan Butler,
OL Glenn Nash, LB Devonta Broadnax, S Lavonte Childs, S Ryan McCann
Key Factor: Notice how I listed each
offensive lineman as a key player, there's a reason for that. The
Hornets boast one of the biggest o-lines in the entire state this
season,
regardless of classification, and you can bet head coach
Tony Chambers will give the Rison Wildcats a steady dose of run
Friday night with Berry carrying behind those big people movers.
Harmony Grove needs to continue to play physical and dominate the line of scrimmage.

Rison
Last Week: 42-8 victory over DeWitt
Key Players: QB Juann Jones, RB Raphael Caldwell, RB Jeremy Marshall, RB A.J. Smith,
WR/DB Marquis Walker, OL James Crawford, DE Dakota Martin,
TE/LB Quanterio Heath, CB Randall Fox, CB J.R. England
Key Factor: Just as the Hornets are going to
line up and pound the football, the Wildcats must do the same.
Caldwell, Rison's best player, needs to see a lot of action whether
on
offense or special teams, even defense if need be. Coach Totty
will have to pull out all the stops this Friday night if he hopes to
remain the conference front-runner. Harmony Grove beat Star City
21-13 last week, the same Bulldog team that was up on Rison 28-0 in the fourth quarter in Week 2.
Kyle O'Neal's Pick:   Camden Harmony Grove by 2 | Luke Matheson's
Pick:  Rison by 2
Strong vs Bearden - September 24th
>
face=Arial> Strong
Last Week: 44-13 victory over Smackover
Key Players: QB/LB Kenneth Dixon,
RB/CB Mario Benson, RB/DL Devonta Ford, TE/CB Jeffery Evans, TE/S
Nick Matthews, OL/DE Reginald Evans, DE/OL Johnique Williams
Key Factor: Strong plays a multitude of
players both ways and it will be important for the Bulldogs to
ensure they don't wear down by the 4th quarter. Bearden is the best
team Strong has faced this season and the Bulldogs are 0-6 against
the Bears since 2000. Strong needs to keep Dizon healthy and allow
him to make plays for them with both his arm and his legs if they
hope to stay in the ballgame against Bearden. The Bulldogs must also
force turnovers-if they can, they'll keep this game within reach in the 4th quarter.

size=4>Bearden
Last Week: 66-0 victory over Hermitage
Key Players: QB/FS Defonta Lowe,
RB/LB Rashad Beets, TE/LB Alan Holmes, WR Tyler Rollins, OL/LB
Demarcie Berry, RB/CB Connor Mosley, RB/CBBlain Harris
Key Factor: The loss to Camden Harmony Grove
to open the season doesn't look so bad now but the come from behind
21-18 win over Woodlawn in Week 2 still does. Bearden has started
slow this season and can't afford to do that Friday night against a
Strong team that will hit them in the mouth and continue to do so
all night long. Bearden needs a quick start from Lowe resulting in
first quarter points. If they don't put the Bulldogs away quickly,
they could be looking at a poor 2-2 start.
Kyle O'Neal's Pick:  Bearden by 6 | Luke Matheson's Pick:  Strong by 2
