About: Today we are continuing our weekly prep football coverage by previewing some of the top games in Central Arkansas for Week Four of the 2010 Football Season.
Interact: Play Pick Um | Week Three Scores | Week Four Coaches Polls
Kyle O'Neal's Pick:  Conway by 14 | Luke Matheson's Pick:  Conway by 14
Pulaski
Academy vs Pulaski Oak Grove - September 24th
>

Last Week: 41-24 victory over Lake Hamilton
Key Players: QB Fredi Knighten, RB Greyson
Skokos, WR Garrett Lamb, WR Zac Reyna, WR L.J. Wallace, G
Matt Kolb, G Jason King, NT Dirk Tanner, FS Aum'Arie Wallace
Key Factor: The Bruins have now settled on
Knighten as their starting QB, which is a good decision by Coach
Kelley considering he's the sparkplug for that offense. Kelley will
have to find ways to use Knighten's athletic abilities both inside
and outside the pocket. Knighten has scored in just about every
capacity one can so far this season and his versatility will be key
for the Bruins against a very athletic Oak Grove team.

Pulaski Oak
Grove
Last Week: 52-21 victory over LR Fair
Key Players: QB/S Trooper Tolbert, RB/WR
Devontae Malone, G Kevin Buchan, T Ryan Elkins, LB/RB Eric Park,
LB/RB James Burkes, LB Vernon Hall
Key Factor: The Hornets have to keep pace
with the Bruins in this game. Pulaski Oak Grove can ill-afford to
fall behind by more than a score to Pulaski Academy because the
Bruins have the ability to keep pouring it on. The Hornets can
certainly score points, they've score 136 combined in their first
three games, but they'll need at least 35 on Friday night to stay in the game with PA.
Kyle O'Neal's Pick:  Pulaski Academy by 20 | Luke Matheson's Pick:  Pulaski Academy by 28
Des
Arc vs Hazen - September 24th
>
face=Arial>Des Arc
Last Week: 8-6 loss to Harding Academy
Key Players: QB Justin Hollis,
RB/DB Cody Robinson, WR Carl Weaver, OL Shaq Mosby, OL
Stephen Wiggs, DT Hunter Hambrick, S Luke Devorak
Key Factor: Des Arc must find consistency on
offense. Against their better competition, the Eagles have only
scored a total of 20 points (14 against Parkers Chapel, 6 against
Harding Academy) and they lost both games. They exploded for 52
against Brinkley however, so there is offensive firepower they just
have to find it every week. Six points won't cut it this week
against a Hazen team that averages almost 41 points per game.

size=4>Hazen
Last Week: 42-12 victory over McCrory
Key Players: QB Devin Bonds, RB Matt
Tenison, RB Marcus Smith, WR Alex Thompson, WR Tyler Holmes, DE Andrew Sayger, S Demonte Anderson
Key Factor: The Hornets need to sustain the
momentum heading into conference play this season, much like they
did last year. In 2009 Hazen started 3-0 then reeled off nine
straight before losing in the quarter-finals to Spring Hill. Des Arc
has been a stumbling block for the Hornets in years past. Hazen has
a 5-5 record against the Eagles this past decade, but only a 1-4
record against them over the last five seasons.
Kyle O'Neal's Pick:  Hazen by 12 | Luke Matheson's Pick:  Hazen by 14
