Fort Smith Southside at Bentonville
Southside's Key Players: RB Lee Hollis, RB Julius Jones, OL Dakota Smith, OL Austin Moreton, LB Shon Dempsey, LB Kameron Beeler, and CB Greg Phillips
Bentonville's Key Players: QB Dallas Hardison, RB Tearis Wallace, RB Garrett Kauffman, OL Marcus Danenhauer, LB Demarcus Murphy, and CB Dakota Baggett
Key Factor: Is revenge enough of a factor? Bentonville's only two losses last season were to Southside, ending a Tiger's team season that many thought was the best team in the state. Bentonville will have to respond to adversity, as two year starting QB Pearson Gean quit the team over the weekend to focus on his swimming career. As most Southside vs. Bentonville games that have been classics the past few years, this one will most likely come down to who wins the turnover battle.
Fayetteville at Springdale
Fayetteville's Key Players: QB Brandon Allen, RB Brice Gahagans, WR Chris Smith, TE Demetrius Dean, DE Devin Bowers, LB Dylan Hale, and CB Colby Jordan
Springdale's Key Players: QB Joseph Calcagni, RB Rahmon Taylor, WR Henry Hernandez, OL Mitch Smothers, DT Max Montgomery, LB Corey Williams, and CB Omar Verde
Key Factor: Springdale's defense has been able to put pressure on QB's this season under new defensive coordinator, Eric Middleton. Protecting Allen has been Fayetteville's Achilles heel in the past and
they must do so Friday night. If they can, Fayetteville's skill players have a definite advantage over Springdale's secondary.
Greenland at West Fork
Greenland's Key Players: QB Jordan Larkan, RB/LB Anthony McCool, WR/S Salvador Rojas, OL/DL Lucas Grogan, and OL/LB Andrew Bray
West Fork's Key Players: QB/S Griff Smith, RB/LB Logan Genz, RB/LB Will Jarnagan, OL/DL Taylor Karnes, OL/DL Taylor Shadrick, and DL Andrew Preston
Key Factor: Coach Rodney Selph realized his strength was the run game and made the switch from the Spread to the Wing-T after week 2, but Greenland has the size up front to contend with the Tigers. On the other hand, this is a rivalry game; emotions will be high and it could be the game that decides the 1-3A.
