Week 3 Game of Interest: Shiloh vs Greenwood

Week 3 of Arkansas High School Football is here, and there are several games worth talking about, and worth going to see this weekend. One of those games to see this weekend is the game between the Shiloh Christian Saints and the Greenwood Bulldogs
Both teams have suffered a loss already this season, and both teams are "down" from where they normally are, but this game will be a great one to go see.

Greenwood has won 3 straight State Championships in Class 5A, while Shiloh made appearances in the past two Class 3A State Championship games, winning in 2006, and losing by 1 point to Glen Rose in last years Championship game.
Players to keep your eyes on for the Greenwood Bulldogs include Senior WR Zach Turpin. The 6-foot-2, 176 pound senior has a 4.7 forty, and led the team in receptions last season with 59 catches for 1,155 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Senior RB Evan Davis is 5-foot-7, 145 pounds. Dont let the small size full you. Davis has the ability to slip away from defenders, but can also pick up a block and go out on a passing route when needed.
Michael Berry is a 6-foot-4, 200 pound senior defensive end who had 46 tackles, 7 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles last season. He is a player who can stop a play faster than it can get started.
Kyle Pippin is 5-foot-10, and 180 pounds, Pippin recorded 57 tackles last season, and returned a fumble 19 yards for a touchdown against Pulaski Academy which helped the Bulldogs advance into round 3 of the playoffs.
The Greenwood Bulldogs have great coaching and tradition working for them, but the inexperience of the team could catch up with them.
Players to keep your eyes on for the Saints this year include Wide Receiver Zann Jones, who is 6-foot-0, 180 pounds, and posts a 4.5 forty. Jones is one of the top sophomores in the state and maybe the nation. As a freshman last season, Jones caught 54 passes for 736 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Lineman Samuel Harvill who holds the World Record for Bench Press at 450 pounds will be another to watch as well as Line Backer Mitchell Roberts who posted 92 tackles last season for the Saints.
Lineman Nick O'Quinn who recently committed to Army will be a key player for Coach Floyd this season, and the addition of Quarter Back Kiehl Frazier should prove to be just one more addition to the Shiloh Saint arsenal.
Shiloh Christian has a football program which must be respected. They have competed at both a State and National level, but have struggled a bit this season.
Both teams will have something to prove in this game. ArkansasVarsity.com feels that the game will come down to coaching and turnovers, and who can make the most with what they have given to them by the other team. Neither team has shown that they are spectacular so far this season, but that could change, as both teams will be looking to make an example out of the other.
If you get a chance to go see this one, it will be well worth your money!
