Sonic Air Raid Kicks Off Arkansas 7-on-7 Season

The 2010 Arkansas High School Football 7-on-7 season will kick off this morning at 10 am at First Security Field on the campus of Harding University in Searcy. Harding Academy is the host school for this event which will host 16 quality teams from across the Natural State.
Teams competing in the event include Bald Knob, Conway, Conway Christian, Des Arc, Dewitt, Green County Tech, Greenbrier, Harding Academy, Lake Hamilton, Lonoke, Pine Bluff, Pulaski Academy Blue, Pulaski Academy Gold, Rose Bud, Searcy, and Watson Chapel.

The teams will be divided into four divisions for pool play, with the top two teams from each division advancing into the double elimination championship bracket. The bottom two teams in each division will compete in the double elimination consolation bracket.
There will be several quality prospects expected to be on hand for the event.
Some of the players to keep your eyes on include Conway wide receiver duo Jalen Jones and Desmond Cox, Des Arc quarterback Justin Hollis and athlete Cody Robinson, Greenbrier quarterback Neal Burcham, Harding Academy defensive back Seth Keese, Lake Hamilton safety Tyler Walker, Lonoke defensive back Darius Scott, Pine Bluff athletes Joseph Treadwell and David Smith, Searcy wide receiver B.J. Slaughter and linebacker Mike Brown, and Watson Chapel athletes Kyle Coleman and Aaron Lagrone.
As stated above, the teams will be broken into four divisions for the pool play brackets. The divisions are as follows:

Pulaski Academy Gold
Watson Chapel
Division C

The tournament will kick off at 10 am, while the double elimination bracket is expected to begin at 1:30 pm. The championship games are expected to start at 5:15, but could start as late as 6 pm. If you want to check out some solid 7-on-7 action, then this event will be a great one to see.
