Six Sheridan Yellowjackets signed Letters of Intent in three different sports on Friday inside of Yellowjacket Arena.

Hannah Gilbert signed to play softball at Oklahoma Wesleyan, Kaitlyn Horton signed to play softball at ASU Mt. Home, Anna Harris signed for the equestrian program at Texas A&M, Landen Kizer signed to play baseball at ASU-Three Rivers, Landen Feimster signed to play baseball at UA-Rich Mountain, and Gabe Kuttenkuler signed to play baseball at SouthArk Community College.

ArkansasVarsity.com was able to catch up with three of those student-athletes to get their thoughts on being able to play at the next level.

Landen Feimster said that UA-Rich Mountain was a draw to him for a couple of reasons, to include the town of Mena reminding him of Sheridan.

"Everything is new up there," said Feimster. "The coaches, I love them. I like Mena. It's kind of quiet just like Sheridan."

ASU-Three Rivers is a new baseball program that targeted Landen Kizer. He spoke about that process.

"One day I was just working out with the baseball team and Coach (Mike) Moore told me that Coach Golden from Arkansas State University-Three Rivers had been asking about me," said Kizer. "I hadn't ever heard of it because it hadn't happened yet, but he started texting me and he asked to come to one of my games. I told him about one of my games at UAM. He came out there and I had a pretty good day and he ended up coming to another game to watch me and I had a pretty good game again. I was pretty fortunate and got an offer, and I committed about a month later."

Gabe Kuttenkuler said it is a big deal to be able to sign a scholarship offer, especially at a school known for sending baseball players to the next level

"It is great and everything," said Kuttenkuler. "I mean, the next level, every kid dreams of it. It's unreal and I'm glad I can do it with two of my other teammates. It's a big thing, big deal, especially at Sheridan where a lot of people come out of high school and go to the next level for baseball."
