Notebook: Little Rock Central ends 25 game losing streak

The Little Rock Central Tigers ended a 25 game losing streak Friday night with a 28-27 victory over the Russellville Cyclones.

The Tigers are one of Arkansas' most historic programs, and have been on an upswing since hiring legendary coach Scooter Register during the off-season.
The Tigers will have their hands full this week as they take on the No. 1 ranked Conway Wampus Cats this Friday night.
Coaches serve suspensions this week
There are two coaches who will be serving suspensions this Friday night.
Coach Cortez Lee from Dollarway and Coach David Carpenter from Junction City were both ejected from their respective games this past Friday night.
Details of Coach Lee's ejection were not available.
Coach Carpenter was ejected after a controversial call by officials in the Dragons game against Strong. The Dragons attempted a late onside kick, and Strong was awarded the ball after a controversial call.
Coach Carpenter questioned the officials, the situation escalated, and he was ejected from the ball game.
Dollarway player fine after hospital trip
Dollarway's Addison Grandy, brother of former Cardinal standout and current Ole Miss standout Jesse Grandy received what was originally believed to be a spinal injury in Friday night's game against the Dumas Bobcats. Grandy was transported to Delta Memorial Hospital in Dumas, and released Saturday morning.
Grandy is expected to play this Friday night against DeWitt.
Arkansas athletes invited to All American Game
Clarksville running back Wesleigh Foster and Springdale quarterback Joseph Calcagni recently received a invites to play in the 2010-11 Max Emfinger All American Game. Both athletes have accepted the invites.
The game will be played Friday, December 31, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana
Harvill sets all-time sack record
We informed you Tuesday about two running backs which set the all-time rushing record at their respective schools this past Friday night. Since running that article, we have learned of another school record which also happens to be a new State record.
Shiloh Christian DT Samuel Harvill set the career sack record for the Saints. He now has 36 sacks and counting. This is also the new record for the state of Arkansas per the Arkansas Activities Association record book. The previous record was 34 sacks held by Tyler Lawrence of Pulaski Academy which was set in 2007.
Harvill is a Three-Star prospect and is committed to play college football at Kansas State.
