The Pulaski Academy Bruins hosted the Bryant Hornets in a scrimmage game Tuesday night in a game that was all Pulaski Academy from the opening quarter.

The Bruins took a 49-7 advantage into the locker room at halftime, then scored an additional 20 points in the second half after the scoreboard has been cleared out. The varsity squads played three of the four quarters.

Pulaski Academy (Little Rock, Ark.) has been a quarterback producing school over the past several years, and the next two years will be no different as Class of 2018 quarterback Layne Hatcher is turning heads on the recruiting trail.

Hatcher, (6-1, 205) already holds division two level offers, but several division one schools are beginning to show considerable interest.

He played in a scrimmage game Tuesday night where he threw for over 300 yards with no interceptions and two touchdowns in one half of play against the Class 7A Bryant Hornets, and showed improvement over the 2015 season where he started as a sophomore, and led his team to an undefeated season and the Class 5A state championship.

He spoke with ArkansasVarsity.com about the scrimmage and more following the game.
