Pine Bluff won last year's match by the score of 20-16, and they return a lot of the talent in which won the game last year.
The Zebras will be led offensively by quarterback Jordan Humphrey. He will have help in the backfield from full back Lemmie Daniels. Daniels will be assisted by running backs Walter Ashley, and Kelvin Sergeant.
The Z's also have a talented wide receiver corps in Devarious Rice, Devin Thomas, Devonta Jenkins, Cameron Jackson, Lemarcus Taggert, and others.
Collegiate prospect David Adams leads the way in the trenches, while Kayon Cassidy, Anthony Brown, Jonathan Dorn, and Deandre Seals assist.
Defensively, the Zebras will be led in the trenches by Bryant Terry, Bruce Reed, Charlie Donnerson, Greg Smith, and others. Sergeant, and Daniels, expect to see time at linebacker.
Rakeem Leverett, Deandre Gridley, and Jared Turner are expected to play in the secondary.
Watson Chapel had a big game against Dumas in week one, and exploded offensively from their first possession following an early interception by cornerback Jordan Stargel.
Leading the way offensively for the Wildcats is quarterback Jerome Eason. Eason is joined in the backfield by a talented group of running backs. Willie Sargent, Marquis Handley, Donta Daniels, Jamie Collier, Treyvone Savage, Brandon Wade, and Devonte Battles all help with the Wildcats wishbone attack.
Greg Hunter, Justin Jones, Alex Garner, Daniels, Collies and others are utilized as wide receivers.
Josh Crater, Seth Heird, Sean Moser, Hunter Porter, Detron Murry, and Byran Thurman lead the rotation in the trenches offensively.
Defensively, Jackie Harris, Denzell Thomas, Burton Tisdell, and Tyrece Scarver lead the way in the trenches.
Wes McCullough, Josh Harris, Marcus Watkins, Damien Green, Collier and Daniels are all expected to see playing time at linebacker, while Stargell, Josh Balentine, Cedric Burnett. Eason and others lock down the secondary for the Wildcats.
Tonight's battle is expected to be a barn burner as usual between these two teams.
Coch Bobby Bolding is looking to lead his team to their first win of the season, while Coach George Shelton is looking for not only a victory, but effort from his young team.
This one is expected to be close, but ArkansasVarsity.com is going with Watson Chapel by two points due to home field advantage.
