FCA And Open Combines Upon Us

For the first time in the history of War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Arkansas, there will be two combines held in one day.
At 8:30 AM Saturday morning, sign in will begin for the 2009 FCA Combine. This combine is an invite only combine, with players such as De Queen running back Greg White, Warren quarterback Hayden Smith, Bryant athlete Chris Rycraw, Helena West Helena corner back Anterio Sloan, White Hall center Aaron Sprinkle. Pine Bluff quarterback Claude Johnson, Junction City big man Byran Jones, and a who host of others, possibly around 200 athletes in all.

Later Saturday evening, Arkansas Sports Performance Center and ArkansasVarsity.com team up to bring you the Open Football Combine.
This combine is for anyone in 8th-11th grade who are looking to be able to compete in a official combine, and get official numbers. While no official prospect list is available at this time for the combine, there are some solid athletes who have said they have signed up to include Rison teammates Kerrick Donson and A.J. Smith, Brinkly running back Evylonn Bailey, as well as a big group from Helena West Helena, and several other schools around the state.
Athletes will be tested in the 10/20/40 yard dash, agility, bench press, vertical jump, and will participate in skill sessions.
Rivals.com will be represented by Trey Biddy and Otis Kirk of HawgSports.com and Luke Matheson and Jimi Holden from ArkansasVarsity.com.
