Eldon Thompson To Transfer To Warren

The Warren Lumberjacks look to pick up a very talented Middle Linebacker. Eldon Thompson, who has been playing for the Class 2A Bearden Bears and turning heads at camps and combines, may be starting at MLB for the Class 4A Warren Lumberjacks in the 2008 season after moving into the district recently.
Thompson, who is Number 3 in the ArkansasVarsity.com Top 10 for 2010, is a hard nosed player with an eye for the football on defense which helped him to be one of the leading tacklers for the Bearden Bears in his sophomore season. Thompson also touched the ball a few times on offense at the Fullback and Tight End positions as well.

"I really like the facilities and people at Warren." said Thompson "I'm already making a lot of friends here, and I feel like Coach Hembree and his staff can help take my playing ability to the next level, and I'm looking forward to putting on the Lumberjack jersey."
Thompson also said he may play on both sides of the ball for the Lumberjacks as well.
"I know I'm going to be playing at Middle Linebacker, and I may line up at Fullback as well." said Thompson
Eldon Thompson is a player that you can tell has the talent to play at the next level. He is also a player that should excite the Lumberjack faithful due to his big play ability, and love for the game of football.
In his sophomore season for the Bearden Bears, Thompson received recruiting interest from Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Notre Dame.
Over the summer, Thompson attended several camps and combines, which may have helped him raise his stock as a prospect for several schools.
ArkansasVarsity.com wishes both Eldon Thompson and the Warren Lumberjacks the best of luck in the 2008 season. We will keep you updated on any future updates on this story.
