We had a very exciting week in Arkansas this past week with the Class 5, 6, and 7A State Championship games being held, as well as a little bit of recruiting news.
The Class 2, 3, and 4A State Championship games were also set up, and will be played this coming weekend at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.

With all of the excitement taking place, we have decided to do a bit of a recap in case you missed any of the action over the past week!
One of the big stories of the week, especially if you are a fan of the White Hall Bulldogs, the UCA Bears, or both, was the news of White Hall offensive lineman Nick Partridge committing to play for the Bears. You can read more about this by Clicking Here.
Mayflower running back DeShaun Bagby listed his Top 3 favorite schools that he is considering in his recruiting process. Bagby proves that big things do come in small packages. You can read more about his Top 3 by Clicking Here.
Cabot Panther offensive lineman Jay Turpin got some good news when he found out he was invited to the Army All American Combine in San Antonio Texas. This combine will take place January 1-3, 2009. Read more by Clicking Here.
Another White Hall Bulldog, offensive lineman Brett Craine is also receiving a lot of recruiting interest, and hosted a few visits this past week. You can read more on this by Clicking Here.
The three things that were most talked about this weekend, were the three State Championship games that were played. Six very good teams battled in front of thousands at Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium, with Saturday night's match up between the Pulaski Academy Bruins and the Helena West Helena Cougars being a game that many will remember for some time, as it was a battle down to the very last play.

On Sunday morning, I read a open letter from Pulaski Academy head football coach Kevin Kelley that was addressed to the Helena West Helena football team and staff. The letter, in my opinion, was a awesome show of sportsmanship, class, and respect from one of the best coaches in the State of Arkansas, to one of the best programs in the State of Arkansas. This week will be another big week in the State of Arkansas for high school sports as well. We have three more championship games to play, as the Class 2, 3, and 4A crowns will be decided.
In Class 2A, the Junction City Dragons and the Des Arc Eagles will go head to head, while the Ft. Lake Cobras and the Charleston Tigers will battle for the Class 3A crown. In Class 4A, the Shiloh Christian Saints and the Dollarway Cardinals will battle for the Class 4A crown.
