In a press release sent out Wednesday it was announced that numerous events, to include the King Cotton Holiday Classic are all being rescheduled until 2021.
Go Forward Pine Bluff said “The Delta Celebration Series of Festivals and Events is a significant component within the Quality of Life pillar. The mandates and health provisions set forth by the Center for Disease Control, and local and state government, work to ensure public safety. Specific 2021 dates will depend on our community’s ability to reduce or eliminate the spread of COVID-19 through all current and future recommended practices.”
The King Cotton Holiday Classic returned to Pine Bluff in 2018 after the event was discontinued in 1999. The 2018 and 2019 tournaments proved to have several exciting games with quality teams and recruits, and showed that Go Forward Pine Bluff is well on their way to fully reestablishing the tournament as one of the premiere tournaments in the region.
