LR Parkview vs LR Mills - Tuesday, August 31st
The Patriots enter the 2010 season looking to improve on last year's success. Coach William Hardiman is in his fourth season with the Patriots and hopes to see continued improvement from a team that returns 10 starters. Their 8 wins in the 2009 campaign were the most in any season this decade. Little Rock Parkview has also made the play-offs the past two seasons but before then, their last play-off appearance was 25 years ago. Key Stat: Although Mills holds the advantage in their last five meetings, 3-2, Parkview has won the last two contests by a combined 60-12.
The Comets are also coming off of a play-off appearance in 2009, their third since 2000. Little Rock Mills averaged 22 points per game last season a state they hope to improve on this season. They could have finished higher in 5A-Southeast standings, but fell in over-time 26-20 to White Hall in the final week of the season. Key Stat: Although they have three play-offs appearances this decade, they have yet to win one, going 0-3; also, none of the play-off appearances have come in consecutive seasons ('01, '06 and '09)
Kyle O'Neal's Pick: Parkview by 20 | Luke Matheson's Pick: Parkview by 14

Jacksonville vs Cabot - Tuesday, August 31st
The Red Devils will break in new head coach Rick Russell when they take on Cabot tonight. You can hardly call Russell new to the program though after spending 14 years with Jacksonville before a one year stint with North Pulaski last season. The experience is certainly there for the Red Devils to have success this season as 17 starters return for 2010. Key Stat: Jacksonville has managed to beat Cabot only twice this decade-2004 and 2005-but their last three losses to them are by a combined 118-21.
Mike Malhan has his Panthers back to playing football the way Cabot fans are accustomed to. After winning the title in 2000 Cabot had a slide in the win column from 2004-2007 where they went a combined 21-21 and 0-2 in the play-offs. Back to back 10 wins seasons though have left Malhan and his Panthers looking to finish even stronger this season. Key Stat: Springdale Har-Ber has ended Cabot's season each of the past three years: 35-16 in '07, 21-17 in '08 and 14-10 in '09-a game Cabot led until the final 24 seconds.
Kyle O'Neal's Pick: Cabot by 24 | Luke Matheson's Pick: Cabot by 27
